I feel better about this year's depth at WR/TE than I do about this crew. The Saints have been at their best when they had a dynamic satellite back. Now that we have Spiller, I can see another top 5 offense.

Seantavius Jones and Brandon Coleman they will be the key at this time.

Coleman is all about hands. captain butter fingers of the 2014 SS Draft. I loved the fact we signed him as UDFA. that is the only reason he was not drafted. but if he get a route tree and hands at 6-6 he could be dangerous. Heck he could take over Jimmy's tree. Its not like the saints asked him to run a complex tree. Pretty basic stuff. jHANDS?

Jones is an enigma wrapped inside a riddle. we hear a lot about him and get teased every time he is talked about. for the love of god let me see it action already. Knock on him was the same thing coming out HANDS?

Saunders is a road whore in the NFL. talent is there but can he stick. i liked the kid coming out of college but drafting Marcus Murphy make me wonder if we are just another quickie for him and off down the road he goes to the next team.

Toon is like waiting for a bus out in the boonies of a third world country. you know it will get there but for the love of god when? when it does will it be on all 4 wheels or just 3 and will it be packed with live stock

Morgan can he put up numbers week in and week out and not just be a highlight reel or two before going on IR.

so that leaves us with Cook and Colston.

I do see where everyone feels so good so yearly with this group. if Cook is used as a WR screen like last year and Colston repeats his rare performance last year of sub par play we are taking a huge gamble. god forbid one or both goes down with injury.

i have never been really been all that excited about WR corp we have but this is the first year i am very nervous about the group. I fear Drew can get all the time in the world but will this group catch the ball. Drew and SP may not be able to cover up all the short comings this year. Every year SP gambles and this year he may have spread himself too thin here. worse spot given the fact as drew goes so do the saints. Running attack? i am not sold on that yet. way too many questions still to be answered to think it can make up for short comings in the passing attack.

UDFA and tryout players? never know there are a few of interest in there. There maybe a turn over on the PS

What will also kill the saints? loss of PT and not finding a replacement to pick up the blitz. huge void

If all my fears come to past we will be 3rd in the NFC South and drafting in the top 10 next year.

Always differing opinions on whether "hands", ability to catch was natural talent or coachable technique...

Hagan, you're exactly right that Coleman would be incredible if we could fix the BC's butterfinger handicap and earn trust in the route tree...

Seantavius Jones was really starting to impress me with his toughness and tenacity, he's the closest type on the roster to Marques Colston...

Everyone seems to overlook Jalen Saunders when it comes to his seemingly "other" position, wide receiver, he had some nice plays...

Nick Toon just seems like he has hit a wall the last two seasons and just needs live reps to continue to progress and be a legitimate threat...

Add that to Marques Colston and Brandon Cooks, that's a maxed WR corps of six (6) players, and you still have Joe Morgan among others...

We've looked closely at several veteran WRs and supposedly considered taking one in the first round so it's not like the coaches didn't see a need.


Yes Spiller is an "X factor".
Yes Josh Hill is "good enough".

Look, we can compare rosters all day but the fact remains; unless someone not named Colston or Cooks steps up BIG TIME, we are in trouble.

Just like last year at CB...
