The Saints could stand to free up some cap dollars, and based on the tone coming out of the front office at the conclusion of the regular season, it sounds like there are going to be some changes on the way. not as luxurious as the top teams with 20+ mil but not as bad as the the fins -17 mil which can be fixed with easy cuts. the poor titans... -26 mil! samari rolle could be a casualty. there's a good pickup. nice to our division rivals TB n ATL at 29 & 30. CAR at 5 mil doesnt have enough to keep moose and foster, good news too. it may be a dream but maybe it is almost hope that if we could get something for both howard and leon that would free up somewhere around 14 mil wouldn't it? add pathon's 3 mil and 20+ mil total would move us in the top 6 league wide. good bucks for a hartwell, smoot, etc. |

Trading Howard himself will increase that number to 10 mil which I feel is more than enough to get a top tier free agent or cap casualty. I\'m thinking Rolle or Hartwell.

You have to remember they are saving a good portion of the cap for Deuce\'s extension. So they don\'t have as much money as it looks like.
