Thank you, Archie and Irvin

Thank you Archie Manning and Irvin Favre for giving us Peyton, Eli, and Brett. Because you, Archie, are probably the most noteworthy player in Saints history, I believe that gives me the right to pull for your sons and the Colts and Giants. And you, too, Irvin, God rest your soul. Since I once played baseball for you and grew up a few minutes from Kiln, I believe that gives me the right to pull for your son and the Packers. In doing so, I have had the excitement of watching teams that truly have been able to be more than just mediocre, which is about the best thing that you can ever say about the Saints and their history. Can you imagine how frustrated I would be right now, Archie and Irv, if you hadn't have given me your sons. Thanks again.

So, you\'re from close by \"The Kill\" huh? Me too. Right down the road in Long Beach, Ms., in fact. I\'ve see the big \"Home of Brett Favre\" sign in Kiln, Ms.

And Bretts uncle is also the mayor of Bay St. Louis, Ms.

South Mississippi is full of Favres. You can\'t escape \'em.

I don\'t care too much for Peyton, Eli, or Favre.

I don\'t care much for Jim Mora Jr. either.

And I don\'t care too much for Aaron Brooks cousin either (Mike Vick)

I\'m a Saints fan, through and through. I don\'t root for other teams. Unless it helps the Saints out.

But that\'s my personal likes and dislikes. We all have \'em...

My word, Long Beach, huh. I don\'t know how old you are, but I suppose that it is possible that we may know each other, or, at least have people in common that we know. I was born and raised in Gulfport, and have a mom, brother, and sister who still live there. I have lots of friends from Long Beach, having attended MGCJC at Perkinston, and also from summer league baseball and such.

I would be lying if I said that the Saints were not my favorite team...some bad habits are just impossible to break. But, like I said in my original post, it sure does make the losing a lot easier to take when you have other teams that you follow because of people you know, or, in Archie\'s case, admire, because he was the greatest Saint of all, IMHO. The fact that he and Eli attended Ole Miss doesn\'t hurt things, either.

Whether you think you can or think you can't...you're right!
