Brandon Browner brings winning attitude, imposing size to Saints
The Browner-Saints union almost happened sooner. He considered signing with the Saints last year before choosing New England. But after a year with the Patriots, the Saints lured him with a four-year contract and Browner’s belief that New Orleans was ready to rejoin the NFL’s elite after last year’s 7-9 mark.
“I’ve got good buddies over here – Keenan Lewis, I went to college with and I’ve got a rapport with (safety) Kenny Vaccaro, we go down to Austin once a year and work out a little bit,” Browner said. “Then across the team, we’ve got leaders like Drew Brees and Sean Payton is a heck of a coach, it just sold me. I was ready to be here. “(The Saints being a championship-level team) is part of the reason I signed here. But just like those teams, I always felt like there was a lot of work to be done and I think I can say that for this team as well. There’s a lot of work to be put in before we can speak about Super Bowl and things like that. But there’s definitely an aura around this team and this group.” John DeShazier: Brandon Browner brings winning attitude, imposing size to Saints |

Re: Brandon Browner brings winning attitude, imposing size to Saints
I think Saints fans will immediately fall for this guy, when they are not pulling there hair out..... He is still a grabber from his Seahawks days... gets the occasional pass interference call vs getting all out beaten. But he had to work for everything he has going undrafted and going to the CFL first and then had two tryouts with the Seahawks before breaking through... He is one hell of a hitter

Good point alleycat.
I'll take a critical PI call in a game vs the Keystone Cops routine from last year. Will be exciting to see what having another physical CB can do for a guy like Jarius Byrd |

Lets just hope it turns out better than Champ Bailey did.
The only thing I fear is that he won't get away with nearly as much as he did with Seattle and New England. That's not an insignificant worry BTW. |

How many were intentional due to a blitz being easily diagnosed and he had no choice but to hold to prevent a TD? These are the things that require a ton more analysis than we're able to provide. |

teams did their best to mismatch browner against fast twitch WR's in the NFC East. that is his weal spot. thank god the NFC South does not have many of those. pats secondary did have injury issues that made it harder. plus the pats were not that deep at CB.

I was watching a short clip of Browner speaking with reporters the other day.. this guy is intense even in interviews. Still focused at 30 . |
