He was Houston's only player on offense and defense last year so he deserves it

I would of capped Jordan at no more than 5 years for 35 mil.

He's technically only guaranteed $33 million, so you're about right.

I agree. Guy is dependable, rarely gets hurt, and he's good against the run. Yes he had a down year but so did everyone else on defense. That is the standard rate for a DE of his caliber.

There's not a thing wrong with it.... The defense overall was bad last year and he is a player who gets that. Knows he can be better... If you don't give him this standard deal and lock him up then when the season is over and he has put together his 13 sack season you would have to give him 90 million... Its smart to do it now....

It's a solid deal imo. It's a good bit less than what we would have had to extend him for prior to the 2014 season. He's still just 25.
