Bunkley's departure means the presumed starter will become John Jenkins, the Saints' third-round selection in the 2013 NFL Draft.
The move could also open up opportunities for rookie Tyeler Davison, a fifth-round pick, and second-year player Lawrence Virgil. Veteran interior tackle Kevin Williams could also be an option in some packages. Financially, the Saints will save about $1.3 million in cap space by releasing Bunkley. The veteran would have counted $3.16 million against the cap. Now the Saints are only on the hook for $1.86 million in "dead money" in 2015 and another $1.61 million in 2016. The dead money reflects bonuses already paid to Bunkley that must be accounted for in the salary cap ledger. read much more including training camp roster |

lets see
NT2 92 John Jenkins 6-3 359 NT3 96 Lawrence Virgil 6-5 290 NT4 74 Ashaad Mabry 6-3 315 DE/DT types DE2 76 Akiem Hicks 6-5 324 DE3 58 Kevin Williams 6-5 311 DE5 95 Tyeler Davison 6-2 309 subtract Jr. and I am getting the feeling that we might just be lining up a bit more as a traditional 43 defense than we have recent years. which maybe a good thing |

I totally won't miss Bunkley one bit. We've got size and athleticism stepping in now.......they just need a little seasoning. Just like any good creole recipe ya'll!
