USC offensive coordinator Norm Chow, who was mentioned, but rarely interviewed, for several college head coaching positions, is now being sought by an NFL franchise.

The Tennessee Titans are currently engaged in talks with Chow, who thinks an NFL position would help him get a college coaching job, ESPN.com's Ivan Maisel reports.

At age 58, he still longs to run his own program -- an opportunity that would enable him to become his sport's first Asian-American head coach.

Sources told the Los Angeles Times that Chow is expected to speak with Titans coach Jeff Fisher, a former Trojan, as early as Thursday and the two might meet in Nashville this weekend.

Chow is considered the leading candidate to fill the Titans' offensive coordinator post, vacated by Mike Heimerdinger, who left to serve in the same capacity with the New York Jets.

But the article I posted came from ESPN and it was dated: Feb. 3, 2005.

How long you known about Chow interviewing with the Titans? I must have been out of the \"loop\" because I heard nothing of it...
