this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; saints should resign darren howard to a 3 yr deal and trade him and a draft pick for patrick surtain of the dolphins....

And a draft pick? What for? A straight trades looks fair to me, both are impact players. Dolphins need an end, and we need a corner. Bring Surtain back to New Orleans! Even though I\'ve talked to his little sister about him coming back to New Orleans and playing, but she said that he\'s not interested

either way i wouldnt mind. it would be a fair trade for both concidering we have a replacement. i think that anyway we look at it to trade howard and get a needed position would be great. but even if we keep him that would be ok if we can make it work. but i like that idea guys

nick isn\'t looking for veteran players... he\'s trying to stockpile draft picks so he tailor the team to his liking... he\'s not about to get rid of any picks for sure, so that is out the window... and surtain wouldn\'t care at this point in his career about coming back to his old stomping ground... this ain\'t college ball or the rookie year for the guy...
