I will say this, it looked like Garret Grayson will be more than ready in 2 years.

Evan Mathis and Red Bryant are still out there. bring them in for a look and see what they got left in the tank. keep an eye on the waiver wires big time.

Jahri Evans. I'm afraid he is done. Those backups better be ready. Interior O-line and D-line are huge question marks.
If we had cap room Evan Mathis would be a no brainer. |

We may have kept the wrong G.? Grubbs money was high but Evans was getting killed last season too. Grubbs would have looked good with our new C in the run game.

I'm hoping Loomis at least has Evan Mathis' phone number on speed dial. Then again, they may have several vets targeted and are simply waiting for those 1st round of cuts. |

All I look at in preseason is rookies. Two rookie NT look great. Eulls and Richardson I think. Also liked a rookie lb from Virginia. Swann reminds me of Fred Thomas. Can run with anyone but poor ball skills. Marcus Murphy never dances. Just hits the hole. Hell help us. The WR Snead has a chance and Grayson is legit. Gonna be a great battle for backup qb. Football is back! WhoDat!

Our whole season depends on how well the O-Line can come together. The defense sure as hell ain't winning any games for us and if Brees can't step up in the pocket we're sunk.

Know Your Sean Payton Terminology - Hidden Yardage
Sean Payton made a point to identify a trio of New Orleans Saints who stood out for the right reasons in Thursday night’s preseason loss... “I thought Murphy returned the ball exceptionally well,” Payton said of Murphy, who returned five kickoffs for 132 yards, with a long of 32... ...Payton said Murphy “showed great courage” and “thought his instincts were pretty good.” Payton also mentioned rookie cornerback Damian Swann, who had one big interception and two costly penalties. Payton said Swann, “made a few good plays in the secondary; that was encouraging.” Last but not least, Payton praised one of the Saints’ biggest acquisitions of the offseason -- new center Max Unger... “I thought Max Unger in his first game did some really good things,” Payton said. As for the bad and the ugly...Payton said the coaches officially counted the Saints as finishing minus-211 in “hidden yardage” because of things like yards gained after penalties that kept drives alive. “That’s a real high number,” Payton emphasized. The Saints had a whopping total of 16 penalties for 143 yards in the loss. Source: Sean Payton praises trio of New Orleans Saints - New Orleans Saints Blog - ESPN |
