Re: Are the stats misleading, or are we missing it?
"It's becoming common to NOT play your best players not just in the 4th preseason game but the first as well.
Look what happen to our CBs. An injury to your 20 million dollar QB would be a huge nail in the coffin. He should play a ,title in the 2nd, maybe the first half in the 3rd and then none again in the 4th." I know the protocol and the reasoning but the fans pay the huge salaries. In my opinion there should be at least a Cameo by Brees. Honestly it never bothered me before until I looked around M&T Stadium and saw all the Brees, Colston jerseys. We sat in front of the play where Browner got smoked couldnt really see what caused him to be carted off. Baltimore had Flacco in for the first quarter then Shaub and the Rookie. |

Re: Are the stats misleading, or are we missing it?
Preseason is to get the teams ready for the regular season. The answer isn't forcing teams to play their players any certain amount of snaps; it's the NFL needs to re-price the experience and not charge regular season prices for preseason games.
I won't go to a preseason game because I know what I'm getting. I understand most of the frustration comes from season ticket holders who have no choice but to pay the price. The preseason is what it is. Teams have to decide how many snaps regulars need to be sharp for game one and how many of those snaps need to go to player evaluation of guys on the bubble. No one should tell a coach how to distribute those snaps and it definitely shouldn't be determined by what would satisfy the fans. |

Re: Are the stats misleading, or are we missing it?
Stats and scores are pretty much irrelevant in pre-season games.
Individual performances matter more. |
