Are the stats misleading, or are we missing it?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; It's crazy that Griffen and Grayson looked much more comfortable in the pocket than the veteran McCown. Based on what I saw, I'll be very disappointed if McCown stays instead of Griffen....

Re: Are the stats misleading, or are we missing it?

Preseason is to get the teams ready for the regular season. The answer isn't forcing teams to play their players any certain amount of snaps; it's the NFL needs to re-price the experience and not charge regular season prices for preseason games.

I won't go to a preseason game because I know what I'm getting. I understand most of the frustration comes from season ticket holders who have no choice but to pay the price.

The preseason is what it is. Teams have to decide how many snaps regulars need to be sharp for game one and how many of those snaps need to go to player evaluation of guys on the bubble. No one should tell a coach how to distribute those snaps and it definitely shouldn't be determined by what would satisfy the fans.

Stats and scores are pretty much irrelevant in pre-season games.

Individual performances matter more.
