Hadn't heard his name come up since the start of rookie mini camps :(.

My favorite topic. Ok. Snead looks great right? Brees can work with him. Joe Morgan being cocky with the ball and losing us the game. I like him but u can't do that. Coleman still gotta prove it to me. RJ Harris is my sleeper. He has a nice skill set.

That wasn't Joe, that was Josh

Its one preseason game but the offense was pretty damn exciting. Defense looked better too but still no pressure. I think we have the personnel to get away with the strategy of simply outscoring our opponents. If our D is even a little better than last year we may be ok after all.

Who are you? And what have you done with The Dude?;)

No, that ball was catchable, but perhaps not at his current stage of development. A more experienced receiver with his height and reach would have come down with that ball still extended instead of attempting to pull it in allowing the defender to punch it out. I don't fault him since he is still lacking in experience, but I have no doubt he can learn from that encounter.

I agree, that pass to Coleman and it was by Brees on the first drive should have been caught. Play was right in front of my seats. Just like AG said, keep you arms extended away from the defender and it's a TD.

Yes, it was Josh. Blaming the loss of a game on one play is not accurate- especially in a meaningless pre-season game. If that's the case, then Payton is to blame for the loss for going for two three times instead of field goals and also for pulling our starters after the first quarter.

With good coaching he'll get there. He is still developing.

Exactly. That's what I like about him. He has quite a bit of upside. He is still raw and will do nothing but improve with more reps. Not to mention, if he keeps close to Cooks he'll learn how to learn and get that much better that much quicker.

Re: Wide receivers

Once Coleman learns to use that big body to shield defenders and with the catch radius to snag balls - he's gonna minimize the void left by the prodigal son...

Cooks is so fast he looks like he's jogging, very, very impressed by him. Snead has some of the best hands and concentration I have seen in a really long time. Willie has heart.

No matter how big, strong and fast you are, you have to catch the friggin' ball. Snead is the best overall WR on the team behind Colston and Cooks.
