Unger and Armstead look like Elite...
Evans and Streif should rate Very Good... If Lelito is anything lower than Average, I'll be surprised... |

Re: Pro Football Focus ranks Saints OL 10th best in NFL
Evans still looks strong to me. He's still got short range quickness and agility but he's a lot slower downfield than he used to be. He might not be All-Pro level anymore but he's still solid.
Streif was never a great athlete but his fundamentals are damn near perfect. Because of that we haven't seen any notable drop off due to age and I think guys like that tend to have long and effective careers even into their mid/late 30s. Armstead and Unger are beasts. Lelito, I really don't know. Can't say that I've seen enough to come to any conclusion. As far the back-ups, including Peat, I have no clue. |

Armstead has All-Pro ability. Needs to stay healthy.
Lelito will surprise. Unger is easily the best C the Saints have had in a LONG time. Evans will be solid. Better than most. Strief is the most underrated T in the NFL. As I've said before, what will help the OLine the most is Payton pounding the ball. Let the big guys smash the defenders. Make them fight off blocks and make tackles. |

Bobby and Hokie made a great point last week on WWL (yea I know, I was shocked too)
Discussing Evans and long term vets in general, they just don't have the same effort in camp that they do when the season starts. When the season starts they turn it up several notches. Almost all veterans do it. |
