Pro Football Focus ranks Saints OL 10th best in NFL
Brian Jones | 247 Sports w/CBS Sports.com 31 August 2015 (Photo: USA TODAY Sports) Pro Football Focus recently ranked the best offensive lines in the NFL, and the Saints made the cut. Out of 32 teams, the Saints came in at No. 10. A big reason for the high ranking is the addition of Max Unger... PFF also mentioned that they are not sure about Tim Lelito taking over for Ben Grubbs... The top 10 offensive line list by PFF can be found here. |

Our O line makes me nervous. LT and C are solid. Lelito isn't the only question mark. How will Jahri bounce back? Can Strief hold up for another year?
I don't think we'll handle top 5 defensive lines in the playoffs. |

I have watched every snap of Jahri so far this preseason and I think he looks good. He anchors well against the bullrush and seems nimble enough to handle stunts and getting out on screens.

Projecting our offensive line this season...
Left Tackle By all accounts from training camp, Terron Armstead should make the big leap this season to elite status. Thought he was underrated last season and handled Seattle's multiple front/personnel well... Left Guard Don't get the harshness and pessimism toward Tim Lelito. What were the expectations of an undrafted rookie free agent?!? He's had nowhere to go but up. All he's done is come and work his tail off and improve with every opportunity. Expect to see better play than we had from the overpaid Grubbs last season... Center Think any questions over what kind of player Max Under is going to be for the Saints were answered for fans on the Cooks Screen Touchdown against the Ravens in PreSeason. Expect him to return to All-Pro form... Right Guart All-Pro Right Guard Jahri Evans has set a high bar for himself over the years, but for me, he's the biggest concern I've got going into the 2015 season. Age, Wear and The Big Mo look like they've got Jahri having one foot out the door; fingers crossed here... Right Tackle Zach Strief is the poster child for NFL overachievers; he's proof that hard work, character and leadership can forge a lasting NFL career; I cringe watching him maneuver in space despite his reliable effectiveness; while rookie Andrus Peat has gotten off to a slower start than expected in training camp, I still expect youth to be served by season's end... http://blackandgold.com/blogs/jeanpi...sive-line.html |

Good article, good blog, . I like the new O/Line, they're gonna' gel and be just fine. Rooting for Lelito, he'll be alright.
All AFC North teams in the top ten? Cleveland's still going 7-9 if they're lucky. |

I worry about the depth behind them. G in particular.

Another way to look at this; who have we played in the pre-season?
#2 ranked o-line #7 ranked o-line Our starting D-line dominated the PATs starters as well. Then consider that our division has o-lines ranked in the bottom quarter of the league. Our D-line may be better than we think... I hope. |

Sounds about right. Questions on LG, RG and LT. Solid veterans but concerns whether they will be effective as in the past. We are pro-bowl and C and LT and have some nice future depth in the line up as well.

Evans is still hustling and will hopefully play at a high level again. I'm not worried about him. What worries me is the O-line depth.
