From what I hear he has not exactly been lighting it up for Miami. The fans are saying we came out on the better end. I like that trade. We got a third and Ellerbie and got rid of some attitude and a little cap space. What I don't like is the fact that we didn't go after a legitimate answer to the wholes filled by Graham and Stills. In the Saints defense there were just too many holes to fill and too little money. They decided to beef up the line which I think is smart. If they can protect Brees better than he has been protected in the last couple seasons he will make some of the no name receivers look better than they are.

I don't see how trading a major contributor to the saints offense for two players that will be on IR benefit us when we have 2 wr, 3 at best (? Brandon Coleman?) he might not be producing in Miami but I know what he can do here.

I would like to know if the source that is leaking out info (that Brees wanted the trade and he was a disruption in the locker room) a reliable source. Those rumors never came out during last season

Obviously the Saints saw something negative that maybe we didnt. And now here's a report saying that he's fighting for the 3rd wr spot in miami.

There was no way of knowing that those players would be on IR. Hindsight is a ***** and its easy to say that now. I don't know how true those rumors are either but the FO felt like there needed to be a trade and made it happen for whatever reason. When it comes to stupid trade and money decisions there are a lot more places to point than just the Stills trade.
