In order to be the best you have to beat the best. If Atlanta get better, it is not the problem. The problem is when you have years of crappy draft picks that are no longer on the team and high cap injured free agents and high cap veterans no longer with the team, it becomes impossible to have a great team. We are depending on rookies and a few veterans to put this team over 50/50... and Drew Brees. Without him Payton and Loomis would both be fired.

Sadly, I don't think we are going to make it. Damn... I have to stop hanging around with Peter King.

Unfortunately I agree. I just didn't see much from the defense this preseason and the players we were relying on to be playmakers are injured. Keenan Lewis was probably the worst. I hope they surprise me.

Wow FF, that's the most negative post I've ever seen from you on our team. Sadly, I'll have to agree with you. Again, who can we get that's better than SP and Loomis? It's not their fault all these guys are hurt. At least they tried to get some proven talent on this team. Unfortunately it just didn't work out. They've made some necessary changes to the organization which resulted in a somewhat better draft than we've seen in a while and though I would still have rather seen them make a trade up and gotten Shelton instead of Peat, we may not have gotten Anthony and Kikaha so right now it's all relative. I don't expect much from the team this year and I'm just going to relax and see what we can do and not worry about the rest. We get another good draft next year and we can be right back in the thick of it again.
