It's why early predictions are rediculousness.
Teams hyped to win the Superbowl end up unable to limp into a playoff game.
Teams weak as a baby go INSANE and run the table.

At least one of the teams with a new coach will roll out a playoff team - Atlanta could be most improved or could be the biggest flop.
Saints at 0-4 preseason could be laughable or shock everyone and have players step up to the plate.

Right now I have no feel for this team. It's tempting to look at 0-4 preseason and predict disaster.... they my better judgement kicks in and remembers Joe Gibbs teams in Washington looking pathetic in preseason and winning Superbowls. Same for Walsh's 49ers.

I also had no feel for the Saints in 2009 and we rolled the NFL and wiped our rear-ends with teams like they were toilet paper.

This is really where I'm at, mentally, about this team. I truly don't have a feel. I'm not doom and gloom, and I'm not particularly optimistic either. I have a very pessimistic outlook on certain players, but I have higher hopes for other players than some people do.

I think we're going to be really good or really bad. It's been such a weird off-season and preseason that I'm not sure what's real. There's a lot of front line talent, but it's almost like they're playing dumb. If our depth is as bad as it looks on paper, and some of our injured starters don't get healthy, it could be a long season.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.
