Post your predictions
@ Arizona = L
0-1 Too many injuries coming into a tough road game. Tampa Bay = W 1-1 Much closer than it should be in Dome. D continues to have trouble getting off field. @ Carolina = L 1-2 Another one of those losses where the D gives up a game winning drive. Ryan's rear end is starting to emit smoke... Dallas = W 2-2 Saints win a squeaker that experts have them no chance in. Drew again is Mr Primetime and D gets a key stop or turnover to seal the win. @Philadelphia = L 2-3 Rainy weather slows offense. Saints drop game by 2 scores. Atlanta = W 3-3 Payback for that egg we laid last year with playoffs on the line. Browner full speed and shuts down Julio plus Lewis back. @Indianapolis = L 3-4 Saints play great game but come up short in OT. NY Giants = W 4-4 Giants in the Dome is usually a get well game and Saints do just that. Tennessee = W 5-4 Saints win 5th in a row at home. All the can't win on road talk returns. @ Washington = W 6-4 Despite a blistering Twitter assault by junior before the game, the Saints manhandle the Skins for a 2015 road win. @ Houston = W 7-4 Saints win the one that counts. Short passing game to RBs keeps JJ somewhat in check. Carolina = W 8-4 Saints win a LOW SCORING game for a change - 17-13 @ Tampa Bay = W 9-4 Saints offense is clicking and D is respectable. This one looks like a 2011 score. Saints take division lead. Detroit = W 10-4 Saints win shootout with Lions on a 50+ yard FG by Hocker. Jacksonville = W 11-4 Saints clinch South with win over Jags. @ Atlanta = L 11-5 Saints game flexed because ATL is trying for wildcard. Earlier in day Saints back into #2 seed. Brees and other starters sit this one out. |
Re: Post your predictions
Record seems about right to me, but hope the start isn't that rough. I guess it would be ok in the end though.

Re: Post your predictions
If this team makes it to 8-8 I'd be Thrilled. My gut tells me this team will be lucky to be 5-11 or 6-10. My reason for such low hope is the defense in god awful. We are counting way too much on rookies. Still not sold on Mark Ingram or the injure waiting to happen to C.J. Spiller. Wr is either old or too young yet. Sean Payton's playbook is as old and Predictable as all hell instead of targeting Jimmy graham 15-20 times a games we are gonna do it with Brandon cooks. Did I mention the defense well we have none
Its not out of the question to start 1-7 IMHO |
Re: Post your predictions
That's pretty well thought out. I'm thinking 11-5 is quite probable.

4-2 vs NFCS
3-1 vs NFCE 2-2 vs AFCS 1-1 vs Lions and Cards 10-6, NFCS Champs |
Re: Post your predictions
5-11 reality sucks. But i will optimistically hope for playoffs and a superbowl.
|
Re: Post your predictions
I have no idea. I just hope we go to the playoffs.

Re: Post your predictions
How many teams on our schedule are better than we are (on paper)?
Atlanta? No Tampa? No Carolina? No Detroit? No Giants? Hell No Redskins? Hell No Jacksonville? Hell No Tennessee? Hell No Houston? Maybe Philly? Maybe Dallas? Maybe Arizona? Maybe Indy? Probably |
Re: Post your predictions
It's why early predictions are rediculousness.
Teams hyped to win the Superbowl end up unable to limp into a playoff game. Teams weak as a baby go INSANE and run the table. At least one of the teams with a new coach will roll out a playoff team - Atlanta could be most improved or could be the biggest flop. Saints at 0-4 preseason could be laughable or shock everyone and have players step up to the plate. Right now I have no feel for this team. It's tempting to look at 0-4 preseason and predict disaster.... they my better judgement kicks in and remembers Joe Gibbs teams in Washington looking pathetic in preseason and winning Superbowls. Same for Walsh's 49ers. I also had no feel for the Saints in 2009 and we rolled the NFL and wiped our rear-ends with teams like they were toilet paper. |
Re: Post your predictions
O looks good, D I still have a 1000 doubts about. The pass rush and the middle on run downs still look weak. 9-7 is what I'm going with and that is probably to many wins could easily be 7-9. I'm not drinking the kool-aid like last season at all. We were suposedly suppose to switch to a 3-4 but nothing happened there either. I'm ready for all D coaches head to roll before a single down is played, I don't have to be fair but I do have to watch an excellent O get screwed by a pathetic D year after year after year, it makes me sick.

Re: Post your predictions
6-10. Brees goes down. Payton and Loomis get fired. The rebuilding begins for real next season. Brees, Colston, Evans, Strief, Lewis, Hicks and Browner gone.

Thank you Exactly it. We haven't had a really good Defense in 20+ years except the superbowl year and that was due to the turnovers. The actual defense was nothing special just got timely turnovers are the right time Rob's first year was decent but again not that special |

Re: Post your predictions
@Ari-Loss, it will be close but my Atlanta/SF theory is coming in play here.
TB-Loss. TB wants payback. We have swept them three straight years, they are due. @Car-Win. I see the same as last year with the road teams winning. Also, Carolina has scored less points at home than on the road, but play better defense at home. But doesn't matter we beat teams who can't score points. Dal-Win. The oline of theirs is the only reason to worry. Does that mean no defense can stop them period? It will if anything put olines at the top of team's draftlists and make them forget everything else. I think the crowd will be why we win. @Phi-Toss-up. We have had their number but eagles did improve on defense and running game. It comes down to Bradford. We are 1-0 against Bradford. Atl-Win.Better offense at home, better oline at home, three days rest where most players are fatigued. Defense can do nothing fatigued against a offense who doesn't overwork themselves because of so many options. And its payback time. @Ind-Loss. But this has a chance. NYG-Win. Giants will be good but its more about Eli and his usual homecoming rhetoric when he comes here that will make us beat them again as usual here. Ten-Win. But could this be a trap game? I don't think it can be but Tennessee can play defense against non-studded offenses. Spiller's had success against this team and had the bills used him more than FJac they would have won in 2012. This game is going to say a lot about Ingram. Also Tennessee will be coming off a losable road game in Houston. @Was-Toss-up. I think we take this or the eagles. Washington's been out big problem in this division. We always seem to struggle to beat them. However we beat them easily in all but two road games and we won one of those in OT and the other we gave away. 6-4 @Hou-Loss. The 2-2 or 0-4 road ic trend with us and the bucs combined and bucs going 1-1, 0-2, 1-1. We beat Indy, we win this. We lose in Indy, we lose this. Car-Loss. Carolina puts up more effort on the road offensively. @TB-Loss. We get swept. TB as I said is due and it sucks the second game is on the road, where its been squeaking out wins. Det-Win. Detroit will not even have 6 wins by this point. We win and we win decisively. The problems we know Stafford has will rear its ugly head here. Jac-Win. There is small concern with it being 5 days rest but we should win. @Atl-Win. Because its that time of season again and Atlanta will be playing to eliminate us again only. This is for the division though if we beat Indy and Houston. we have swept Atlanta in 2007, 2009, 2011, and 2013. 9-7 and if we can avoid division sweeps 10-6. If we beat Indy and Houston 11-5 and avoiding any sweeps 12-4. In that case we might could beat Carolina again because we would be four or five games up on them and thats HFA conversation but I have GB going 14-2. |

Under Sean Payton we've had average defenses every season except for 2013 when RR came first year. Now our D is hurt (like what happens to every RR defense after 1st season). |

Good grief we have some whiny ass negative Nancy fans on this board.
Name 4 NFC teams more talented than the Saints. |
Re: Post your predictions
I just want to scream when I read threads like this. No one knows what will happen that's why it's called predictions. At least predicting the weather is based on science. I don't have any predictions because I don't know what kind of heart this team will have. I just know what they need to do and that is dominate the division because I don't think 10-6 will get a wildcard.

I disagree on the last sentence. SF, St.Louis, Minnesota(unless they win at home against SD, Seattle, and Green Bay), Chicago, Washington, two NFC South teams, and one other NFC East team will not have 10 wins. I have Detroit having a down season so that leaves Arizona, second place NFC East team, and us if Atlanta win division. |

And this Sea-0-1 @Was-if they win 1-1 Pit-1-2 @Ari-2-2 @GB 2-3 Cle-3-3 SF-4-3 @Min(vikings have owned them and AP is back)4-4 Chi-5-4(but its too close) @Bal-5-5 @Cin-5-6 Ari-5-7(they're not sweeping) Det-6-7 TB-if they win 7-7 @Sea-7-8 @SF-8-8 The best they can do is 8-8. The rams better be making Gurley their franchise player because if not, they will not get better than the record I project above. |

Some of us aren't blinded by the black and gold spectacles that tend to skew the view. How do some people justify a 11-5 record or better when more than half the offensive production was shown the door replaced with a olinemen and a running back that can't get on or stay on the field. The defense shown the door the guy even though was a jerk but got to the opposing qb. The top two corners are hurting and are gonna miss time. The defense is filled with rookies. Some of us aren't being Negitive Nancy's just wanna use our eyes and head to think instead of our hearts that bleed black and gold Face the Facts people this team is not the team of a few short years ago |
