No, what it means is that while one has nothing to do with the other, each situation probably exacerbates the other situation...
However, on the WWL-TV (New Orleans) Noon News Broadcast, it was stated allegedly the deputies on detail assignment ignored pleas to assist with Cam Jordan's behavior... Now that complicates Jordan's infantile public display of a$$ appreciation... |
Re: Are You Kidding Me??? Saints Cameron Jordan investigated for nightclub incident.
I think this is pretty much what it boils down to:
Cam is drunk as hell at some club tying one on for the last time before the season starts. Some chick he messed with in the past was there so he got a little too familiar with her as men are prone to do when drunk. Uh oh, that chick was there with her boyfriend! Little guy doesn't like what he's seen and the rest is history. I was critical of him at first but let's move on. |
Re: Are You Kidding Me??? Saints Cameron Jordan investigated for nightclub incident.
I'm not sure if what Cam did should be classified as criminal. At the very most, it's probably a misdemeanor.
What it does appear is that Cam was an *******. Which isn't surprising as many athletes are. I won't defend him though. He was a tool to the woman and a dick to her boyfriend. He's coming off pretty despicable to me. |

On the same level are those who resent professional athletes for making the type of escarole they make, and get all bent out of shape because so and so "makes millions to play a child's game" and so and so displays human behavior... it's not a brain surgeon showing up drunk to surgery... it's a ball player. As for Cam, maybe he slapped that ass, maybe he didn't. But as it's been pointed out, this is only news because it is a professional ball player. I bet you my house that woman's ass wasn't the only ass slapped in that club that night. Heck, I'd probably bet my house that it wasn't only Cam slapping that particular ass that night. But what I take from the incident personally: no posse, no guns, no fights, no shots, no one bled, no one dead, nothing broke... nothing to see here... |

Police report details allegations against Saints’ defensive end
BY Matt Sledge Sept. 9, 2015 2:57 p.m. The boyfriend of a woman who accused Saints lineman Cameron Jordan of “patting” her on the buttocks at a New Orleans nightclub told police that when he confronted Jordan, the 6-foot-4-inch, 287-pound defensive end told him, “I can have any (expletive) I want” and then dangled him in the air while onlookers took photos. A police report released Wednesday provided the dramatic details of the boyfriend’s account, suggesting that Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies working an off-duty security shift at the club did nothing when the boyfriend pleaded for their help. Jordan’s lawyers disputed the man’s account. “Cam Jordan did not cause a disturbance of any kind,” Brian and Ralph Capitelli wrote in a statement. “Mr. Jordan did not commit any criminal offense whatsoever and continues to remain cooperative with any law enforcement inquiry into this situation.” Jordan could face a misdemeanor sexual battery charge or a disturbing the peace citation, depending on the outcome of an ongoing police investigation, but he has yet to be charged. Jordan’s status on the Saints remains unclear as Sunday’s season opener approaches. Team spokesman Greg Bensel declined to comment Wednesday about the encounter, which, according to the police report, occurred when as many as 10 Saints players were present in the club. “We’re gathering information, we’re aware of it and I’m anxious to find out more,” Saints head coach Sean Payton said on a conference call. “I think I know Cam pretty well, but I also think at this time, I don’t know all the details.” The report — which details only the boyfriend’s manhandling allegations, not the girlfriend’s separate claims against Jordan — says the incident began at a club called Republic in the Warehouse District about 2:20 a.m. Sunday. The woman involved was celebrating her sister’s birthday. After Jordan allegedly patted the woman on the buttocks, according to a source familiar with the investigation, her boyfriend followed Jordan into the club’s restroom “to admonish him about being disrespectful.” The 44-year-old boyfriend told police that he approached Jordan and asked him why he had been disrespectful to the woman. He said Jordan replied, “I can have any (expletive) that I want.” The boyfriend told police that Jordan then sized him up and asked, “How much do you weigh? 180?” He said Jordan then plucked him off the floor and dangled him in the air while onlookers snapped pictures with their cellphones. He said Jordan told him afterward that he “had struck other people for less.” The boyfriend told police that he went back to his girlfriend after that, but that the ordeal wasn’t over: He said Jordan approached the pair later with a bottle of Champagne, shook it up and sprayed them both. Bouncers forced the man and his girlfriend out of the club as if they were in the wrong, the man told police, and outside of the venue, several Sheriff’s Office deputies refused to take any action. The boyfriend then called 911 and went to the 8th District station in the French Quarter looking for help. By the time NOPD Sgt. Samuel Dupre reached the club at 828 S. Peters St. about 4:45 a.m., he wrote in his report, the venue was closed and its doors were locked. Three sheriff’s deputies still at the scene — one in full uniform and two wearing black “deputy” T-shirts — allegedly provided little assistance. One said he would need to speak to a supervisor before telling Dupre what had happened, and another turned away when approached. Finally, one deputy “stepped up” and told the NOPD sergeant that the club was packed at the time of the incident, with about 10 Saints players present. Sheriff’s Office spokesman Philip Stelly declined to comment on whether deputies were working at the club or whether the Sheriff’s Office is looking into the incident. More information on the encounter could be released in a separate police report on the woman’s allegations against Jordan. That report has not been completed. Both the NOPD’s 8th District and the Sex Crimes Unit are investigating.
