New Orleans running back C.J. Spiller will miss the season opener against Arizona, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport.
Spiller underwent a minor arthroscopic procedure on his knee early in training camp, and he’s missed the rest of camp recovering. Initially, the Saints targeted a Week 1 return, but Rapaport’s report indicates that Spiller needs a little more time.
