If anyone wants to things of Cooks as a number 1 WR is a fool. We don't utilize an offense with a clear #1 WR. You get open when your number is called period. They even it out... you make a play when you are called.
I think Cooks is a deep threat and needs to be just that. He doesn't need to be a number one nor should we expect him to be. I don't see him as a possession WR even. We need him going for the shots that we take deep down field. |

I'm surprised he hasn't been used more often down field. Payton used to love to streak Devry and Meach down the field almost every other play. It keeps the safeties honest and if the defense has a miscue it's a touchdown. I figured Cooks was going to be used more in that capacity. Too bad Stills didn't work out.

Yeah spiller is going to make a huge impact. Hes alot better than people think. A born natural runner. Its why SP is treating him with kid gloves I think, he knows he is great. He just needed a good team and OL to explode. Really amazing what he did on a crap team like Bills.

Hes the best runner we have ever had I think, but your right if he gets hurt alot wont matter.
The thing to remember though is Bills have had one of the worse OL in the NFL for years, so its expected that he is going to take huge hits all day. He will take less hits here. He ran on a very tough to nearly imposible team to run with. |

Colston has taken a beating at times in the middle of the field and due to his size he was able to keep playing. If Cooks takes hits like that he won't be in the league for very long. |
