For me this has been in the making. I said in 2013 defensively we were going to struggle because we got rid of some key players. J Vilma, R Harper, J Greer, M Jenkins and the list goes on. So in 2014 everyone hammered the defense although we had a bunch of young guys with no real leadership from a veteran presence. However, in 2014 when all was hammering the defense I wasn't as much. I did see the offense struggling in a major way. A lot of people were defending the offense because it was so easy to point out the flaws of the defense. It was easy to throw out stats that would suggest otherwise. BUT IF YOU WATCH FOOTBALL AND/OR KNOW THE GAME you wouldn't deny that the offense wasn't doing much better as well. We got rid of some major offensive weapons. So in the off season to get rid of your best TE (no. 2 in the nfl) and in my opinion an up coming receiver K Stills I knew we were going to struggle even more on offense. Although a lot of people think that Drew is a god I felt that he has no offense threats. No one that would cause match up problems for opposing defenses. Now with the defense vastly improving, our offense is looking like they did towards the end of 2013, definitely looks like they did in 2014. Everyone said I sound like a broken record. No one saw the train wreck that was ahead. Now its apparent in 2 games into this year the very things I said last year, and during this off season has come to light (go figure). Two years in a row I preached this. However, its only 2 games into the season I feel they were very competitive against the cards which I felt was a season determining game. Yesterday we played very flat. However, I do feel its still early in the season, we will win games but not much to say play off caliber. I predict we will go 7-9 and miss the playoffs. I hope I'm wrong but with no notable stand outs on our offense, especially in the wide receiving and TE positions its hard not to think otherwise.

The run blocking is terrible and any DE with speed gets around Strief.

p.s. drew brees had ample amount of time yesterday to throw the ball. he couldn't get it done because no one apparently was getting open.
