My biggest complaint about yesterday was Brees got hurt in the game, but he was kept in there. That is all on Sean Payton. I strongly believe that a healthy Luke McCown wins that game for the Saints.

I kinda agree. It looked like Brees was really struggeling yesterday.

If this season is it for Brees I hope he realizes it himself and retires rather than getting cut or traded.

Re: End of the Drew Breed Era ?

I wont go this far. End of Drews era with the saints maybe. but not now

We do not have a starting caliber QB on this roster. Garrett Grayson? long shot. I see him as probably developing into one of the best backup QB in the NFL thus excellent trade bait.

If we tank this year the 2016 draft looks to have a better crop of QB than this year. Top 10 pick? Conner Cook still gets my vote to sell the house for if needed. Now your talking about taking this risk with a solid gamble of a franchise QB on the team.

If we make a move in the draft then I will entertain the the end of an era. Till then we will keep or 20 million dollar man on board and probably make him a 25 million dollar man when we resign him in 2016 or 2017.

Brees was definitely injured yesterday and should have come out. Mike Tripplet has a picture of the play on his facebook page and you can see the strain in Brees' arm when he is trying to throw when the Buc's lineman has his arm. But Brees is too much of a competitor to take himself out of a game, Payton has to do it.

Brees was always going to get to an end date. It ain't quite yet. I doubt he will have one of the best seasons of his career. However that line needs to be a lot better and he needs to go injury free.

I agree, if Brees was hurt and they actually knew it, he should have come out. But McCown winning the game put into that same amount of defensive pressure, doubt it.
