End of the Drew Breed Era ?
this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Today I think was the beginning of the end of the Drew Brees Era. I was convinced today that Breed is a declining star . We don't have the talent for a aging QB to be successful... Painful to watch ...

End of the Drew Breed Era ?
Today I think was the beginning of the end of the Drew Brees Era. I was convinced today that Breed is a declining star . We don't have the talent for a aging QB to be successful... Painful to watch it play out Today.

I'm in total agreement. I think the Brees/Payton era is over. I think Payton think so too. That's why he drafted a QB. But when Drew goes so should Payton. They have accomplished everything they are going to accomplish. The expiration date has arrived.

Its not the end for Brees, but I believe he could be more successful elsewhere. We don't have it. It's been gone since 2012.

I'd rather Brees get his second ring elsewhere if he couldn't get it here. The last thing I want is Matt Ryan surpassing him. I know Ryan hasn't even won one yet but still.

Brees is gonna count 27.4 on the cap next year. He could be cut to save 20 million. Big decision to make in the offseason.

Cut Brees for 20 mil. I'm in. He can't throw 50 yds anymore and he doesn't beat people with his feet much anymore. He's not worth his cap hit. Our only hope is Khiry Robinson becoming the next Marshawn Lynch.
