Multiple "sources" may just be repeating a false rumor, but lots of smoke guys.

Best thing to do with unconfirmed rumors is to do your best to spread them.

By the way, I heard through the grapevine that Halo is actually a transvestite albino pygmy. Of course, that's unconfirmed.

Wouldn't surprise me, that deep pass attempt to Cooks may have been the worst ball I have ever seen him throw. Definitely makes the rumor more likely, let's just hope it's just that, a rumor.
^Given the two rumors between Drew and Halo, Drew's seems easier to believe.

If true then I'm surprised he lasted this long behind inept O-line. Front office was gambling for years and this is the result.

That's not good...
(Asked if Brees might miss any time to rest the injury, Payton said it was too early to discuss.

"Today's the day after. You take a peek and see how he's feeling, coming along, and see where we're at Wednesday," Payton said. "Certainly we'll do the best thing for him and for where he's at. But I think it's early to say.")

Payton would normally not even address this until Wednesday, and he would say something like "he has a shoulder"...

Might be some truth to the rumor.

I talked to they guy who gives him his Vic's vapor rubs...he said he started to work the shoulder and Brees waived him off. Just a rumor but fact; he uses Vic's.

Seriously, it is clear something was very wrong. Those passes he threw after the hit had nothing to do with any "decline" or "aging", they had to do with the inability to execute the normal passing motion. I'll never forget that wobbling attempt to Cooks that fell five yards short and totally off-line. Those are throws that Brees can make, and has made, every day with his eyes closed.

Yes, Drew probably has about a 55 yard limit on his throws. He couldn't even throw it 40 yards Sunday, and that was with a running start.

So it's possible we bet some games on McCown vs. Griffin. I thought Griffin was sharper the entire pre-season. McCown was unimpressive except for the last preseason game.

I just saw Jacquies Smith had 3 sacks yesterday. This just proves it, we need to try Peat at RT and put Strief back in his TE-eligible role for short yardage running.

People all day at work keep asking me what I think or what I know, all I say is....keep the whiskey close by and wait until you hear something....

And remember, folks, there are a lot of fake Twitter accounts and "fake" sports news sources out there. People love to troll people with stuff like this.

I'm old school, I am not gonna panic until I hear it from Fletcher Mackel or Jim Henderson or somebody like that. Some random dude from Metairie who calls into a radio show, is not a source.

I don't think it's a rumor, didn't he say himself it compromised the pass to Cooks. He's hurt. If he is hurt he needs to sit. Same thing happened to Brooks, we could have made the playoffs that year if they would have benched him, we were like 8-1 then nothing until they finally sat him. By then it was too late.

It probably boils down to sprain versus tear. I don't know the actual recovery time for either but I'm pretty sure some games will be missed.

I hope he can return, just not hurt and not this situation again:

I dont get on the other threads much, cos I dont know jack ****, but shooting the 'brees' in gameday chat is as good as it gets!

If we had to get someone from around the league, id take Drew Stanton, back up Arizona. He seemed a real gunslinger. Liked his style.

For some reason name always works. I dont care if a QB comes out of college, and has 100% comp, and all the stats. IF his name is Tyrone Gookinflecker or
Ash Kisher, he is never going to make it. Only the Rogers, Bradys, Brees, Staubacks survive for some reason. Like Colt McCoy has a possible winning name youd see in the HOF. He was NCAA all time points and beat Bree's records in college. Looks like a Brees clone. Wouldnt mind a deal to get him here from the redskins also. But Drew Stanton sounds cool to . Impossible to replace Brees thow, amazing person.
