Brees was a little animated on the sidelines. I certainly don't think it was for "show". I think he was mentally rehabbing by virtually running each offensive play in his head.
I saw plenty of "silly" last Sunday, but it wasn't Brees.

Re: Brees on the sideline

I have a hard time taking people seriously when they act the way Drew was on the sideline. I'm not inside his mind, so I can't say for fact that he was putting on a show, but that just isn't normal behavior. It isn't harmful or anything, of course, but it's a pet peeve of mine to see people act in what I believe to be a rather fake manner.

Re: Brees on the sideline

If you have ever seen him practice, you know he is not faking. After a completion in practice, he still goes through the motions of going through his receiver rotation. A little weird, yes, but it's how he keeps his mental sharpness.
As far as this Byrd person, who the hell are you talking about?

I did not watch the game but I listened to it on the radio. They kept saying how Byrd was talking to Swann on the sideline after plays.

People keep saying politics. Has he once said he wanted to be involved?

For me it's just a hunch. He gives me that politician vibe more so than a coach vibe.
