Would it follow, then, that (1)your response is not worth reading, and (2) YOU are beating a dead horse?

Kind of you to point that out LB. Did I kill your Mom in a past life or something?

Either way, (1) and (2) refered to points in my thread.

(1) is about whether or not it is worth discussing people\'s relative level of risk aversion. It is my view that THAT is not worth discussing; I certainly wasn\'t calling anyone out for posting in this thread.

(2) it is my view that the AB discussion has been beaten like a dead horse, but I am not opposed to beating it some more. All I meant by that is that my view has been expressed several times in several places and I merely wanted to acknowledge that I was going to repeat myself. I suppose I could have picked a better way of stating that.

So, it WAS you!!! I suspected it all along!!

Nah, JK, I was just joking...just call me the jester.

Don\'t take me seriously, because I certainly don\'t take myself that way. I like your posting style, factual and intelligent.
(I thought a little love was in order, being so close to Valentine\'s Day and all! ) . :heartpump:

The next can't miss QB!

I\'ll bet ya anything that those same fans would have be sold on some of these 1st round draft selections :

Tim Couch
Ryan Leaf
Jim Druckenmiller
Heath Shuler
David Klingler
Tommy Maddox
Dan McGwire,
Todd Marinovich
Andre Ware

But, I\'ll bet if you ask those fans who KNOW how to tell the \"sure\" thing ... They\'ll tell you they knew better!

I was actually \'\'sold\'\'on Couch...I still believe he can play...I just think ..then..the Browns were QB killers...not much has changed in that area...

Ryan Leaf was an outstanding college QB...Maybe his bum wrist really did affect him to the point of just not bieng able to put enough on the ball?..I don\'t know...

But..several of those guys you mentioned had decent NFL careers...

It\'s not about getting the next Montana..we are just sick to death of Brooks..and that really sums it up...He\'s a punk...and whatever flash he may have had in the pan..is just about over...and it\'s time to get some new blood...

Another thing on Brooks that I have observed over the years..

He tends to lock up on a single reciver...for sometimes...weeks at a time..Willie jackson..( an obvoiuos benefactor of Nepotism)..was the Saints leading receiver for several weeks in a row..and the Coaches practically had to manually turn Brooks\' head , in order to focus a little more on Horn..our money reciever...and now..Horn\'s catches, in comparison, are hugley lopsided when compared to other Saints receivers...good receivers too..it\'s a waste.

Maybe Stallworths\' lack of production stems from a one eyed QB?

Even when AB manged to scrape 1 single playoff victory...it wasn\'t like he would scramble..and telepathically lead the receivers...he was freaking out...waiting for a receiver to get open...and he benefited from good receivers...not the other way around...

He has never really been the answer at QB...all we managed to get is one single playoff appearance..and 1 single win in the playoffs...and I am willing to bet..if he had started that entire season...we would have went 8-8...or worse...he benefited from Blake\'s pro bowl play...and stumbled into 1 single playoff win...BIG DEAL....

Sad, but very true.

The next can't miss QB!

Oddly, this thread was not about AB. It was about whether or not a rookie was an obvious solution to our QB woes. Sure, you might compare a rookie to AB, but merely stating it is time to move on has nothing to do with it.

Why don\'t you guys start a new thread if you just want to say why you want AB gone? Actually, heck, I\'ll do it for you just a moment.
