Kuharich was still doing his thing on Airline Drive when Ditka was introduced as the Saints' coach in 1997. I\'ll never be able to find the article, but I remember reading that Haslet was approached and refused to accept the interim HC position.
The quote above can imply any number of things although the tone implies that they didn\'t want him for some kind of negative reason. I think that if that sentimnent by the staff is true and they didn\'t want Haslet as IHC, then it is probably becuase they wanted Venturi more. Venturi has some kind of a hold on the people around him. Hypnotism perhaps? |
