Re: Brandin Cooks Hype

Cooks and Snead are basically the same size, Cooks is a little faster. The best thing with them both is that they are 22 years old. They are a great foundation for a WR corps.
Snead and Cooks are on pace for 1200 and 1000 yards this season.

This is ridiculous. Cooks is the real deal, one of the very quickest and fastest players in the NFL and he's a legit polished route runner with great hands. Im thinking Travon Dural next to Cooks next year and we'll be set for the next ten years at WR.

The issues with Colston has not helped Cooks at all, fortunately Snead is picking up his game and looks like a legitimate keeper. The Saints will need a big body WR to compliment these other guys. The Saints have been trying to find a replacement for Colston for a while, Toon didn't pan out, and so far Coleman isn't either. Once these other pieces are in place, Cooks will be able to make significant contributions to the offense.

Rueben Randle would be a great pick up next offseason. Randle and Snead on the outside with Cooks working the slot sounds good to me. We might need to utilize Cooks similar to Wes Welker. That's how I use him on Madden. 😏 The backers, nickels and safeties can't hold him.

And don't forget Coleman, he isn't as good as we want yet but he still might develop into something. He shows really good flashes.

I hate to be even more critical on a Monday but BC is starting to look like he isn't very good :(.

No one is doubting his skills. But, where is the production? Where is the play making? Saing he doesn't have someone next to him is just an excuse.

Cooks is fast. Colston is sloooooow. At the time Cooks was drafted, Colston, Meachem, Moore, Thomas, Jed Collins (!) -- basically EVERYBODY on the Saints roster who could catch a ball, looked old and tired and slow as molasses, next to NFL defenders. Sproles was fast, but he was gone. Ingram is only fast if he gets rumbling, with like 10 or 20 yards to pick up steam -- he's not explosive. They also brought in Jalen Sanders that same year, who was a marginal contributor, but the only thing you could really say about him was that he was also FAST, not slow.

That's about it. He is small but fast. That jump ball into the end zone against Carolina, Jimmy Graham or a young Marques Colston could have probably come down with it.

Ingram had one of the fastest 10 yard times for RB's in NFL Combine history. Ingram has great burst and short area quickness, he just doesn't have top end speed.

But everything else is pretty much spot on.
