Re: Brandin Cooks Hype
He was getting doubled at the line and had a safety over the top. Once Snead starting burning them Cooks was able to get loose. Time for Colston to hang it up.

Re: Brandin Cooks Hype
And yet Brees continues to force the ball to him. Not that McNown is/has been/could ever be with a time machine, a QB like Brees, but I really liked the way he spread the ball around and just looked for the open guy in the game he played.

Like the guy but a 1st and 3rd was really a high price to give up. Would be dynamic in the slot to go along with a true #1 big body reciever. Snead sure looks good especially for a UDFA we got lucky with him.

Re: Brandin Cooks Hype
No way we can be judging him yet. He has absolutely no support at the moment. We need to go hard on WR's at the draft because we have nothing at the moment.

Guard, Receiver, Tight End are badly needed in the draft

Re: Brandin Cooks Hype
I don't think he sucks or anything but I find that he doesn't fight for the ball very much. He's never going to be a true #1 receiver because of his size. He cannot compete for jump balls with corners who have any kind of decent size. He has to be "the other guy" like Randall Cobb, who has similar size, is when Jordy Nelson is healthy. You can't be THE guy if you aren't able to be a consistent red zone target.
But aside from his size, he just looks like he's always waiting for the ball to get to him, instead coming back for it when it's under thrown. He broke a couple plays today, which was nice. I know he doesn't have much help, but he needs to fight for the ball a little more in my opinion. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.
