ok, Lombardi.
You know, my position is evolving on this, a bit. perhaps we should be seriously looking at our snapping. It does seem to be a common denominator

Long-time friend of mine who's coached kickers at all levels except NFL (though he's had one sign there) talked about timing facets as well...

He equated better kickers to having a faster kick swing - like a baseball batter's swing speed...

The better kicker's having a faster swing in their kicks not only aids in some power (he talked about core strength/torque as well), but the faster the kicker swings his legs leaves more time for better placement by the holder...

Given Forbath's miss in the Colt's game did have a poor snap and placement, nonetheless, a pro kicker should still be able to "chip it in" even with the new PAT distance...

We just f***ed up letting Hopkins geaux...

I've found the entire kicking squad - kicker, punter, deep snapper; could've all used some REAL competition during training camp...

Think the team and those players having gotten to complacent and that's showing on the field more and more...

Lombardi? Thanks for the compliment, I guess.

That's the thing, it's an extra point. I get that a lot goes into making a long kick but on a short kick, as you said, you have to be able to still chip it in. If the hold is bad, ok. But when the hold is good, you have to be professional enough to make an adjustment on a short kick.

We can change out snappers all day long and maybe it would help, who knows? But these kickers aren't doing their end, either. People forget that Forbath has been with a few teams now. There's a reason he doesn't stick.

Half the NFL has missed at least one extra point kick so far this year.

Give it rest.

If he misses another, then we have a problem.

Stupid ass rule.
I wish they would leave the rules alone
Everything was fine in 1979

I would...however:

Through 7 games, we have the following with extra points:

1) 1 blocked extra point (Tampa)
2) 1 botched extra point snap (Carolina) and Hocker got tackled.
3) 1 extra point miss by Forbath (Colts)

Essentially, we've missed 3.

I agree. Though kickers should still make 33 yarders, there was no reason for the extra point to be moved back. All this talk about how it was a boring play... That's why it only counted as one point! People and their whining/short attention spans. I'm sure they have an app on their phone they can play with while an extra point is being kicked.
