I heard him say this years ago. I was still living in Dallas so that's been 6 years at least. Turley, frankly, is one of those guys that probably has other issues, mentally I mean. And hey I'm not throwing rocks at the dude. I think he has some issues. I hope he's in therapy.

The laws on marijuana are draconion. Cannibis is a million times safer and less addictive (if at all addictive) than opiods such as hydrocodone, oxycontin, dilaudit, etc. These drugs are extremely addictive and kill. Why people are for these drugs but against medical marijuana is beyond me.

These opiods are way worse and can lead to abusing harder drugs mainly heroin. Heroin isnt for the junkie anymore. Its non descriminate and its spread to white collar america. Doctors, lawyers, politicians, everyone. It starts innocent enough. Someone has surgery and actually needs opiods to kill the pain. The doctor only gives them enough pain meds for 2 weeks because he is scared to death of getting sued or losing his license. After 2 weeks go by and they are still hurting they mention to a friend how much it hurts. Innocently enough the friend has some oxy left over from an old surgery and offers them up. Next thing they know they are asking other friends if they have any left over pain pills. Eventually they find a friend who has a friend who can get some but its going to cost money. By this time they are already exibiting drug seaking behavior. Pain is gone but they still need the pills. Eventually that person will become addicted and as the pills dry up eventually they are led to heroin.
Its a scary and sometimes deadly scenario that could be avoided if there were a safer alternitive in pain management.
