Re: Fire Rob Ryan

Rob's defense in Dallas needed healthy starters and constantly losing Claiborne and Lee to injuries hurt. We have injuries now. Thats the RR system, relying on starters.

the defense is train wreck. even healthy? got no clue. Boot a bunch of vets and bring in the young pups, what would you expect? yada yada yada

It is a freaking train wreck. The players on the field are the survivors running for their lives. Some make it to safety. Others end up going down in flames as this defense burns out of control on the field.

As the fire rages you want me to start looking for a silver lining or who to to blame?

Silver lining? ask me at bye week after the smoke clears from my eyes and my tears stop flowing. It is all a blur to me right now and it just to painful to open my eyes and watch. the horror of it all

Blame is simple, it is the :deadhorse2: slowly cooking on the side lines at about the 50. Or is that a scapegoat? What difference does it really make in the end. That is what they are serving us for lunch one day soon with a side of media sugar coated spin.

A Spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down
The medicine go down-wown
The medicine go down
Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down
In a most delightful way

I am telling you this defense is just to ugly to watch without mentally losing it.

I have no idea why Payton goes for these DC's with bad track records

He had the chance to get Wade Phillips, Romeo Crennel or Jack Del Rio and he went with Rob Ryan.

Coincidentally all 3 coaches named above are fielding very good defenses now.

We have put too much money into players that can't perform. It's almost like there is something's wrong with our talent scouting personnel. I really think the "creative" mind of Loomis has been more like our Government. Spending money we don't have on "products" that don't work.

I will be honest. I haven't been excited about this year, at all.

I'm confident Jeff Ireland and his staff will get this turned around.

As soon as Ireland was hired we draft Stephone Anthony, Hau'oli Kikaha, Tyler Davison and Damian Swann

4 defensive guys that have showed huge promise for seasons to come, not to mention PJ Williams.

We are a young team, that's why we need a capable head coach and DC to point us in the right direction.

In my opinion, Neither Payton nor Rob Ryan are the right guys to the do that.

I think the fact that we will have to let RR go is academic. Consider it's already happened. Why keep him around? He gave us a booster after Spags, then last year we stunk again. In 2015, I would have cut ties and brought in another professional with experience. To heck with reputation and defensive "coaching carousel" talk. We're trying to WIN and not win a reputation contest.

In fact, if we keep RR after this season and we finish 2015 below 20th ranked in the NFL on defense, either we let him go or it will look poorly on SP because who can take SP seriously? No hard feelings, but RR shouldn't be here. Tired of excuses, lost draft picks etc. We need to make sure coach is not part of the problem. RR has a poor poor coaching history, period!

thank you!

if SP doesn't clean house of the defensive coaching staff this offseason, he never will and his loyalty to incompetent coaches baffles me

The only problem could be if SP heads for the door himself then it's pretty academic that a whole new regime will be in place.

Re: Fire Rob Ryan

There is plenty of blame to go around. Starting with the collegiate and pro scouting departments followed by the position coaches. We pick poorly in the draft and have no idea how to develop talent. We draft players to fit a 3-4 defense the last few years and now we field a 4-3(or some version of it). Our FA evaluation has been questionable at best. I realize that we do a lot of shopping in the second tier of free agency but still we should evaluate talent better and be able to find players who fit the system.

When Payton came here he brought a list of coaches and assistants who could help him here. His team was very successful and so his assistants received enough recognition to move up in other organizations. Unfortunately, his replacements haven't been nearly as effective and we no longer bring in and develop talent. Nearly everyone of our position coaches should get their walking papers. The O-line sucks. The D-line sucks. Yeah, even the LB'ers suck under Joe Vitt. The secondary sucks. Did I mention special teams suck?:censored:

Ireland knew we had an opening in the FO and called asking for an interview. We'll see how he follows up this draft and hopefully, he'll be the real deal and hold Payton to a different standard.

Benson needs to hire a team of professionals right now to investigate the winning teams and their employees contracts. We need to bring in strong young leadership from established programs that know how to get things done properly. Not necessarily a guys coach that the players love like Ryan is. Give me a tough guy from a great organization whether it's from the NFL or a collegiate program that have similarities. Stop bringing in coaches that were good years ago but can't win now.

Should we fire Rex Ryan? Who's going to replace him? Allen? Halo? Start looking outside for their replacements now and roll the dice on the interim coach and fire Rex Ryan.

Did I mention that the whole front office also bears the responsibility of fielding a defense that has consistently been at the bottom of the league?:monkey:
