Well I don't know about that but atleast take Browner out to the woodshed.

It's getting old there's no reason this guy is still here.
Lose to the Titans and rookie QB c'mon.

Why? So Dennis Allen can replace him? Rob Ryan has already been completely neutered... Do you think this is the defense he wants to run? He's a lame duck DC being forced to run Allen's 4-3 defense.

I need a roster list to keep track of all the players on defense. The walking wounded are one thing I try to keep in mind.

But to watch the same set of plays in the red zone beat us week in and week out with only the names changing as to who scored the TD is getting a bit much to take.

see i am restraining myself.

I'm thinking we give Halo the clipboard and whistle. What do we have to lose.

And that's been the biggest problem - two co-defensive coaches, poor positional coaching...

Can't blame Ryan, but the Saints, Payton and Loomis should grow a pair, let him go so he won't be the scapegoat for pi$$-poor offseason planning for the defense...

WTF did we draft all this 3-4 personnel and run a 4-3 defense featuring Cam Jordan?!?

Agree. And if Payton doesn't fire Ryan, Payton should be fired

According to the news Payton may be going on his own.

Re: Fire Rob Ryan

I don't know how much firing RR will actually help but I think it's time. If nothing else, just to shake things up because something has to be done. This defense is a flat out embarrassment.

RailBoss 11-08-2015 03:47 PM

Re: Fire Rob Ryan

Okay folks gotta drive around and find an empty bridge. Maybe RR will be there and jump first. This way if I change my mind i'm thinking he's gonna make a good float!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Fire Rob Ryan

Anyone defending Rob Ryan or any of his players at this point are not being realistic. I don't want to hear about injuries, or Payton interfering. We played the worst offense in football today. Nobody complains about Payton getting in the way for a couple of games when the defense actually looked like it existed, but as soon as we go back to sucking, now it's Payton's fault again.

I'll tell you what's Payton's fault. Coming out of the half and calling three straight run plays for a 3 and out, after they couldn't stop our passing game the entire first half. It's his fault for continuing to try to force the run when it wasn't there. They couldn't cover us all day. You don't need balance if one part of your offense is unstoppable.

But the defense? These coaches are awful, and the majority of these players are awful right now.

RailBoss 11-08-2015 03:51 PM

Re: Fire Rob Ryan

I'm thinking he went to the run game due to the lack of pass protection.

+1 Metal. This ^^^^^^^^^^.

You'll get no retort from me.

Side note: Why did we sign CJ Spiller??

The lack of pass protection came from being behind in 2nd or 3rd and long from trying to run into a pile. That pass rush was non existent in the first half. And here's another thing I've got a problem with: Why is Drew, once again, standing around in the pocket? I praised the game plan against the Falcons a couple weeks ago when they got him out of the pocket and bought him time.

Where was that when the protection was breaking down today? No adjustment was ever made. These coaches just don't take bad teams seriously and I'm frankly fed up with it.

id be there with yoou if they weren't t-ing off on brees and sacking him. I not for that then put the run game on the shelf and just pass, but we had to force it to keep them honest and slow down their rush a bit.

i didn't understand the lack of screens when they were coming after us...we never caught them

Good question... Another that I have no answer for.

Re: Fire Rob Ryan

They need to fire the whole defensive staff. That cluster f*uk on the defense is a collective failure from rob on down to the payton cronies and why draft 3-4 players to play 4-3. The Saints love trying to put that square peg in the round hole.

Yeah, there are any number of things they could have done to off-set the pressure, but never did. Running only works if you can get yards. They weren't worried about whether the Saints were running or not, they just kept loading the box in hopes of getting pressure. So when the Saints ran, it was right into the pile. That's why you either roll Drew out or, as you said, run more screens. They kept trying play-action....... Really Payton? That just gives them more time to get to Drew.

Maybe it was a late night with Ms. West Virginia the Coach looked tired today. Think maybe the plays were on auto-pilot.

Rr needs to be fired. His track record is coming in with 1 good season and then sucking until he leaves. Thus is no different. .. needs to be fired now so we can start to build the future.

Rob Ryan is not the future.

Maybe not, but maybe he is. One thing I know for sure is that RR is hot trash and certainly not capable of coaching this defense.

Let's face it, RR is gone. It might be the end of the year but he is already packing. Let's all pray SP has the balls to let him go now. We have a nice young defense that does not need to be ruined anymore by this guy.

Pink-slipping the coordinator seems to be working pretty well for the Colts at this moment!

Seriously, it's hard to imagine this defense getting much better unless we get a real defensive mind in the building. And it might need to be the head coach for this team to get the picture. Pretty impressed with the improvement the Vikings defense has had under Zimmer; we need that kind of turnaround.

And cut Browner. I promise the defense won't be any worse.

Titans were ranked 31st in scoring through week 8. Guess what, they scored 34 points today on the road at our place, Marriota lighting us up as rookie, never pulling Brandon out of the game yada, yada.

Totally unacceptable.
