Fire Greg McMahon

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Our special teams play on FG attempts is awful. Did you notice that Forbath barely got there in time to kick potential game winning FG?...

Re: Fire Greg McMahon

Good luck with that. If anything we're moving in the opposite direction and probably bringing in more of Payton's "Yes" men.

As long as Payton is here, his buddy will never be fired.

Re: Fire Greg McMahon

My favorite thread.

2 blocked kicks this season. Today's (yeah, that kick was partially blocked) can be blamed b/c McMahon didn't have his guys out there in place and on time. That is inexcusable for a setting up for a potential game-winning FG.

But notice the crickets on this thread. McMahon is the Teflon Don on the Saints Staff. He is like a U.S. Government employee...he cannot be fired. He is UNTOUCHABLE. No one says anything about us rocking below 90% PAT average...or our chronic field position woes...or our hot garbage kickoff return average...or the brilliance of "the substitute punter" (who was that clown?). If it was one area, one could point to a player possibly.

So many? It's on McMahon...the Teflon Don. But he won't go until Payton goes. He's is the biggest brown-nosing brown noser Yes-Man of Yes-Men ever. The blueprint monument of incompetence.

He's been skating for so long already. Some years have been worse than this actually. It's crazy.

He's got plenty of hair. He has a healthy appetite. He's getting paid despite being horrible at his job. That's all the positive I've got.

Re: Fire Greg McMahon

There is nothing to say about mcmahon that hasnt been said already. Is he a brown noser oh yea, is he incompetent oh yea, is he the dumbest ass in captivity you betcha, is his special teams crew always below average in returns and coverage oh yea. We all know why he is still on this team just was well as all the defensive position coaches. He is one of paytons cronies that will always agree with what sean says and never questions him. Is this good for the team hell no but to a man that has more power than his gm what do you expect no checks and balances on that team coaching wise.

Re: Fire Greg McMahon

I'd like to know how the decision was made to let Dustin Hopkins geaux (now with WAS) and to keep Zack Hocker...

If the Special Teams Coach has any weight in that decision, and he should have plenty, then there's some accountability that bears reckoning...
