The New Orleans Saints brought in five players for tryouts including CB Bradley Fletcher, CB Chris Owens, WR Preston Parker, WR Aldrick Robinson, and WR Greg Salas, according to Howard Balzer.

Payton didn't do this last season did he? (Except w/kickers). I feel like he's doing this so no one feels like their job is safe. All I know is we need Breaux and Lewis to start. Browners role needs to change.

Browner's role needs to be house wife. The guy is trash and a flag machine. He should be moved to safety and be a backup at best.

IIRC he's done this every year. Perhaps a slight uptick but I don't think its anything other than due diligence.

Would be hilarious if Payton brings in 11 DCs for interviews...lol

Yeah they do this all year they kick tires all the time...

They had enough time in the off season... to late to find anyone that is going to come in and help... wait let me rethink this... we have like 40 starting positions that we need to fill according to my calculations.

My suggestion to you guys is don't buy a jersey with you favourite players name on the back, whoever it is, because there's a chance that before you get it home from the shop he won't be on the team anymore!!

That also goes for the Saints calendar!! lol!

I can't express how hard this made me laugh. The sad part is that this is what needs to be done cause this defense hasn't been decent since greg williams left. With greg williams you always had to worry about giving up the big play at the wrong time or too much blitzing but you didn't really worry about hemorrhaging yards all game.

We're now dealing with big plays, too many yards and too much confusion.

Back on topic, none of the names I've seen will make any meaningful impact. We have the tools we need to score and move the ball. Let me know when we start trying out Offensive/Defensive lineman. That is where this team really struggles and needs help.

Breaux has allowed 6 TD's and a 2 point conversion in 3 weeks

3 to Beckham, 2 on the same playcall
2 when he tripped defending TY Hilton
1 to Justin Hunter when he gave a 10 yard cushion on 1st and goal.

He may be better than Browner (which isn't difficult) but he hasn't exactly been a bright spark.

But after 8 games he was our 3rd highest rated player on our entire defense behind Cam Jordan and Kevin Williams.

I'd say that a pretty bright spark.
