I appreciate it, good sir. I really hope they do find the right guy if they go DT. We've had terrible luck drafting DT's.

I would go with OT in the 1st them a mean mugging type of a NT in the 2nd and in the 3rd a thumper type ILB to help shore up the problem of a gaping hole we always have in the middle, basically stop the run and acquire a pass rush to boot.4th RT, Strief want last forever. I would trade Jordan for high picks and with those I would get a big body WR(Colston type) and a CB. Got to see if this plays out but it could fill major holes.

Draft picks are so hit and miss, depending on one to become a stud at a position of need is a recipe for failure.

The best formula is to address weaknesses in free agency and draft the BPA when its your turn.

Agreed. That's why I say bring back Tyrunn Walker in free agency! We wouldn't have to rely on a rookie to fix our defense.

Yeah they are hit and miss, but what money do we have to upgrade in free agency? To me, when you have glaring holes you need to go after those needs in the draft. If we get the best player available and he's not a player you need, what does he do for the team? In theory, he adds depth, but going back to every draft pick being a crap shoot there's no guarantee the best player available works out.

If they find a way to bring someone in during free agency, then great. If they don't, I would like to see a DT or top O-lineman if at all possible.

You know what... I think it depends on the coaches. A team like the Packers has no problem relying on the draft and hardly ever signing FA's. Us on the other hand... Well we kinda suck at both approaches.

I can only recall one solid defense Sean has had during his tenure (ball hawks and lots of turnovers), sprinkle in a few years of average defenses and the rest have been hot garbage.

2015 is shaping up to be SP worst defense ever. Something has gotta change. A freak DT would be welcomed.

The biggest problem I have with him, though, is that he's a Brandin Cooks body type. We already have him. If we're going to draft a WR he needs to be a more physical presence. But really we need O-line help before WR.

Defensively, if I am to believe that the young guys will mature and get better, than there's no question in my mind that DT is top priority. I'm just not quite sure who best fills that role yet. Robert Nkemdiche gets all the hype, but I kind of like Montravius Adams better. He's quicker and seems like he has a better ability to both stop the run and rush the passer. I have heard some negative things about his motor, though.

Adams is more likely to be available to us, however. Despite our poor defense it does not look like we'll be picking in the top 10.

I had to look at the two schools for those players and yes Adams would be better. I mean Nkemdiche just got blown up by Arkansas.

In recent years not many first round draft picks have been busts other than qb. The draft may be a crapshoot from players drafted from division I schools that are not among the best defensive and offensive(no system) teams and in the SEC. By this point looking at the school and their history is a better evaluation of talent. Plus look at the players tapes against the bigger schools.
