Re: So I have to be realistic
It won't happen. I understand why it won't happen. But, the whole staff needs to be fired. Payton lost the team last year and was given a pass. The team didn't show up this week after folding to a lesser team last week. That's inexcusable. He has been the Head Coach during two of the worst defensive units in NFL history. He deserves as much blame for that as Ryan. The team has some young talent. Riding out a lousy season with the current staff will not be good for their development. The bye week is the perfect time.

Re: So I have to be realistic
I think the best approach is to fire the coaches who are primarily responsible for this mess. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
Fire Ryan, he deserves it. Send a message. Lets see who keeps fighting their ass off and see who quits. Keep the fighters, cut the quitters and bring in a new DC next year and let him have some control over his staff. |

Side note, these last few years have been worse than others I can remember as far as being a fan goes. Such high expectations going into 2014 and we were so bad; again we were promised change and improvement in 2015 yet we are worse. At least with previous Saints eras you didn't expect much so there was no let down .... |
