jones vs. benson showdown

http://www.cowboysplus.com/topstoryn...ede.ab4c3.html personally i dont really care for jones much. i do think two positive things about him though. 1)he is very passionate and knowledgeable about football. 2it may be killing him but he has learned and is doing his best to let parcells, a proven winner, run the show. sadly, it reminded me about benson. most all that comes to mind with him is money and his negotiations with the state (after turning his 80mil investment into 600mil). on the saints website you can read his bio that sez that football was not a passion of his when he bought the team. i wonder how much it is now? think he has an idea who mike mcmahon might even be? if there were no salry cap ya know jones and snyder would be bidding staggering amounts for any available free agent. benson? "sold to larry ellison!" i thought his quote in december was staggering that he didn't even know nick saban was being courted by miami. a national championship winning coach an hour away, highly courted by the nfl in the past, and owning a team that has floundered for a few years... i think it is mostly, if not all, just money and status for him, not passion for the sport or the team. gimme another round :beer2: |
