Rob Ryan got exposed in New Orleans, but he had help
By any metric, the Saints have been abysmal defensively for the second consecutive season. Having allowed 130 points over the last three games, New Orleans has now given up to 315 points this season; that's more than eight teams allowed across the entire 2014 campaign, and the Saints still have six games left to go.

Re: Rob Ryan got exposed in New Orleans, but he had help
Not a bad read at all. For the most part I agree with nearly all of it.
Yes, Ryan just isn't that good of a DC Yes, his players don't fully match the schemes he runs (although good DC's adjust accordingly) Yes, we have some holes at a few spots on defense due to salary cap issues and they have been exposed, especially as injuries mount. Yes, injuries do seem to be a bit more excessive than most teams, and that has hurt us in several games, especially at LB. |

I just wish someone could explain the phenomenon of when we get a DC the first year we play great and then they just stink the following year. |

That was the year Brees decided to throw 22 interceptions. |
