That's a start right? Allen has a long way to go but I think he simplifies the defense going forward.

Edit: I think this defense will slowly improve .
I like these improvements, but I like this improvement the most: 24 points. 24 is less than 47.

Yards, just like in the offense rankings, can be misleading. Scoring points & keeping teams from scoring is what actually win ball games. The final score dictates the "W" or the "L" or that rare dad-burn "T".

He also had back to back penalties, if I remember right. And he wasn't even covering Hopkins for some reason. He isn't awful but he sure doesn't seem like he's playing as well, to me. Still our best corner, though, with Lewis out.

I'm just wonder since Allen has been here the entire year (as a consultant or whatever his position was) didn't already have a gameplan in place in the Texans game? We got some talent on the D, or do we?

Time of Possession 23:37 36:23
First Downs 14 23
Penalty Yards 82 40

this game should have been closer. given the course of events i say not a bad showing for the DC. Still plenty of room for improvement.

Just need time to Jell lol

The offense are the ones that "crap the bed." They put the defense on the field too long and you just can't do that to a defense, especially not the Saints defense.

Hell, we gave up 362 yards in the first half of the 2 previous games LOL. I'd say that is improvement. But 1 game is only 1 game. But I will take it and lets keep it up. Now if the Offense could get there heads out there poo holes, we could actually win some games.

We will continue to show improvement on defense especially if we can get healthy and put the most of our talent on the field at the same time.

The more Kenny Vaccaro talks, the more I can see why we need to just simplify the defense even more...
