Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe: Saints should release Brandon Browner
It was not a good afternoon for New Orleans Saints cornerback Brandon Browner.
By the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers, Browner had accumulated three penalties, was beat on a touchdown by wide receiver Devin Funchess, and also was part of confusion with Jairus Byrd on another touchdown by Ted Ginn Jr. Byrd and Browner yelled at each other in the end zone afterward. Browner was also shown getting into a sideline argument with defensive coordinator Dennis Allen. Browner has a league-leading 21 penalties. Hall of Fame tight end and CBS analyst Shannon Sharpe took notice, tweeting that the Saints should part ways with Browner. "Saints should release B. Browner," Sharpe tweeted. "He's not worth the distraction as sub-par CB." Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe: Saints should release Brandon Browner | NOLA.com |

How many more people have to say this to Payton? It's embarrassing.

At this point I'm more concerned about the management of the team. You clearly can't be blind to just how pathetic Browner is yet we see his ****ty ass out there play after play.
On top of that you let awful position coaches keep there jobs after years of sucking. The truth is... Payton and Loomis are the real problem and the Saints won't matter until they are gone. |

Re: Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe: Saints should release Brandon Browner
I just saw a clip from the game and after that penalty in the enzone Dennis Allen lit into him and Browner got all back up in his face talking ****. A new DC cannot let that happen or he will lose the respect of all the players. I would be very surprised if he is on the field again.
Sad thing is he will probably go to Tampa or somewhere and be an all pro. We arent using our DBs efficiantly. Jenkins has been a stud in Philly. Others have gone on to do better things elsewhere. They have to figure this out. lol I didnt read the whole article. |

What Sharpe said is right on. In my opinion Browner should have carpooled with Ryan out of here.

He'll make some hits and get the occasional turnover. But he's the same old Malcolm as far as I'm concerned.

I can't believe he hasn't been benched, or atleast relegated to special teams play only.
These young guys cannot be any worse than him. He is a first down perfectly gift wrapped. |
