The red flags on him are as follows:
No leadership ability
Senior QB who did not get voted captain by his teammates(HUGE red flag)
Poor completion percentage for a college QB(anything under 60% is an issue)
I have only seen him play in the big games Oregon/Michigan and he didn't impress me. Anyone who has seen more of his games, could you please tell me what is to like about this guy? The gurus are high on him too but he seems to be a Ryan Leaf type.

You probably need to see more than two games to truly appreciate him, IMO. I'm not an Michigan State fan, but I'll give Connor his props. He's something like 38-4 as a starter and probably MSU's most winningest QB, among other school records. BigTen MVP twice, et ... You don't become that by managing games, #shrug. He's a winner/competitor, he shows up for the big games and makes the big plays. He can throw the ball.
Who cares if his teammates didn't vote him captain? Popularity contest, #shrug. There isn't a police incident file on him. He's never stood on a table shouting obscenities, stolen groceries or allegedly done anything that could be construed as inappropriate to a young lady, #shrug.
He's taken his teams to the Rose Bowl, got 'em a couple BigTen Championships and into the BCS a couple times ... plenty of leadership, IMO. As much as any other college QB.
