Give it to Mark Ingram for becoming irreplaceable for New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints aren't allowed nice things in 2015. Their destiny this year is unavoidable.
Of course running back Mark Ingram landed on injured reserve Wednesday afternoon with a shoulder injury. It's the one personnel addition outside the draft the Saints unequivocally got right this calendar year. Not only did Ingram survive the offseason veteran purge by the team, he received a nice four-year, $16 million contract to remain in New Orleans and avoid testing free agency. He's easily the best money the Saints spent this offseason. ![]() This gets lost in the poor spending of the last couple of years on the contracts of Junior Galette, Jairus Byrd, Brandon Browner and C.J.
