And a younger Ingram as well... how many of you were calling for his being traded/cut early on?

Did you see him miss the blitz pickup and got Brees sacked?? That's what keeps you on the bench. He is struggling with the playbook and to me it appears he doesn't trust his knee yet to make cuts. But until he learns the playbook and picks up a blitz before releasing for a pass, his ass will ride the pine.

:stupid: Yeah, what he said.

IMO, he seems to lack vision and the ability to make jump-cuts. He seems to always choose the wrong hole to hit and because of that ends up running into a defender more times than not. Usually he just abandons the run and heads over to the sideline for a minimal gain. He also seems to avoid contact whenever possible.

Very disappointing...

I think it's too soon to be thinking about getting rid of him, though. 3 years left on his contract... And I don't think we'd get anything in a trade. They let Ingram plod his way around for 3 years before he ever showed any glimmer of ability.

Hes been in for only 8 plays all year and one was a TD. Just sayin. Other than that play and one or two more he wasnt even given the ball. I agree its too soon. I think its injury related and it just looks bad with all the other bad FA picks we have had to put him on IR. Which is a dumb move if we could get someone who would actually play.

A lot, including me. I'd still be ok with trading him, if I thought he'd bring any value back. He's improved a little bit, but he's not game changer. I think the biggest thing I've noticed about him as that he finishes runs better than he used to. He was notorious for running into the backs of his linemen and just falling down.

But I don't see where he's a guy that makes something out of nothing. Spiller, for whatever reason, is looking a lot like the old Ingram. But I've seen the guy when he was a star. I'm not ready to quit on that potential after one year, when I watch the crap show that was Mark Ingram, his first three years, as I said before.

I'd trade him in a heart beat, his best season was a contract year besides that he's been a bust
