Sean

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I think Sean will be back, along with most of the current coaching staff. I do believe at this point the guy is probably burned out and really needs this season to end....

If this is the case, we will continue to have problems. We can't blame Rob Ryan anymore & I'm not sure Allen is the answer either. A complete coaching clean out/overhaul on the defensive side of the ball is required. Saints defense so desperately need a play maker.

How can we not display a consistent, AVERAGE defense in Sean Payton's era here is baffling for me.

I love Sean but his drinking buddies have got to go. WE NEED new pesonnel with a fresh perspective. McMahon, Vitt and the D-line coach have to go!

I'm on Sean Payton's bandwagon until the wheels fall off and we're dragging the wagon leaving deep groves in the road. If the horses die then they can hitch me up to the wagon and I'll pull it by myself. I'm in this for the duration of the ride. It's been one hell of a ride so far and I'm looking forward to the rest off this journey. Not only that I had to learn how to spell his name correctly. It's Sean Payton. Not Shawn Peyton.

So, no way in Hell do I want Sean anywhere besides New Orleans!

Besides, with all the fair weather fans jumping off the wagon I've got more elbow room for drinking with true Who Dats!

Re: Sean

Here me out on this Who Dats ...

I'm by no means predicting SP's departure but it wouldn't surprise me. There was a time where I thought he was the best coach in all of the NFL... maybe with the exception of Bill Bellicheck. Over the last 2, 3 years we have seen coaches like Carroll, McCarthy, Rivera & Harbaugh move into this conversation.

If and when he does eventually move on, I hope there is a solid replacement as good as the aforementioned. Those teams prior to Payton's arrival in NO were pretty damn bad.

Re: Sean

I think he's gone, atleast I hope he is.

Done riding the success of 2009, wake up, it was 6 years ago and he's done nothing since 2011.

Re: Sean

Are you guys kidding? Do you even remember life before we had Payton and Brees? We were not even a competitive team for 90% of this history of this team prior to them. Be scared of the day we don't have them any more and we are back to life like the Browns.

As much as I appreciate we are on the decline I am not eager to fall off the cliff.

Nice to see I'm not the only one who sees logic here. People complain all the time about wanting to can him. I have memories when a 6-10 season was actually a "good season" for the Saints. I hope he stays and makes everyone eat crow.
