this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Stanford G Josh Garnet was another guy that I didn't really like in this draft...Looks like Frisco bailed us out from a complete mistake... Twitter...

What player do you see us drafting tonight ?
Cravens, Reed, A Robinson or Big boy Billings anyone? If Spence is on still on the board at 47, I think SP/Ireland will pull the trigger OR do they take a chance on Jaylon Smith or Myles J (assuming they are there in the 2nd or 3rd)?? |

Cravens............The Vacarro comparisons bother me but it is a different position. What would Vacarro do as a OLB?

I'd be happy if Dodd or Ogbah are on the board when we pick. Highly unlikely though... |

Dug deeper into safeties and corners up to round 4. We can wait for round 3 perhaps for the second best.
1. He looked good against Clemson and got two interceptions, he was attacking anywhere near him and it was hard to throw his way. He had one whiff but otherwise looked solid. Against FSU, he missed on a tackle but the TD run was nullified. Otherwise he looked great. We can get him here or wait for round 3 for ........... 2. BSU has turned out NFL players in the past especially on the defensive side and Thompson was aggressive throughout the game. These two clips were against bad teams though because he did have a bad whiff against Utah State. But otherwise, he was attacking at almost any point, he can sometimes be too quick but we want aggressiveness right? 3. I have had problems with Baylor defensive players but I saw his tape against UNC, and thought he looked better than I thought. Oklahoma not as good. The UNC one is one to serve notice. He's likely gone round 2 but I would much rather have Simmons than him. The next couple are going to need some coaching maybe idk. 4. The guy that Bleacher Report has been hyping up as NFL ready outside round 1. We'll see. I mean he did not look bad it was USC but nothing spectacular either. Maybe he's fit for a safety imo and that could work. Round 3. 5. He's the highest ranked of the CBs on this list on CBS. So this is about the lowest he goes as outside of round 2 corners get thin and harder to find. He's round 2 so he's serviceable. These I don't want to take the chance on. 6.Cyrus Jones vs LSU (2015) | Draft Breakdown 7.Jalen Mills vs Alabama (2015) | Draft Breakdown CBs from those two schools if good go first round usually not third round. Unless there's some injury or situation and they dropped. Otherwise no contest. Fuller is injured so no to him and Redmond as well. Draft Round 2-Simmons Round 2-Davis Round 2-Howard(maybe) Round 3-Thompson Round 3-Russell Do Not Draft Round 3 or 4-Cyrus Jones Round 3 or 4-Mills |
