2016 NFL Draft Prospect Thread ...............

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; No way...Chris Jones is definitey going in the first, probably top 20... He's that versatile, and he can play three downs... Getting a three down player is a big box to check on your first round picks......

Chris Jones at 12? I'll be surprised if he is a day one selection. Would prefer A Johnson or J Reed in this scenario.

CJ is bit too raw for my liking.

R3, S15 (Pick 78) LG Conner McGovern, Missouri; Height: 6' 4"; Weight: 306 lbs.

TRADE CB Keenan Lewis for late 3rd, early 4th rd pick and select CB Kalan Reed, Southern Miss; Height: 5’ 11”; Weight: 192 lbs.

R4, S14 (Pick 112) WR Keyarris Garrett, Tulsa; Height: 6' 3"; Weight: 220 lbs.

R5, S13 (Pick 152) NT D.J. Reader, Clemson; Height: 6’ 3”; Weight: 327 lbs.

R6, S12 (Pick 187*) TRADED this pick with 2015 Sixth Round Pick traded for DB Damian Swann (2015, R5, S31, Pick 167)

R7, S16 (Pick 237) K Jaden Oberkrum, TCU; Height: 6' 2"; Weight: 183 lbs.
Here's what I'm thinking with this draft...

DEFENSE

RDE/5T (2) Cameron Jordan, Bronson Kaufusi

NG/1T (3) Tyeler Davison, D.J. Reader, John Jenkins

LDE/3T (2) Chris Jones, Nick Fairley, Bobby Richardson

JLB/9T (2) Hau'oli Kikaha, Kasim Edebali, Davis Tull

SLB (2) Stephone Anthony, Mike Mauti

MLB (2) James Laurinaitis, Craig Robertson

WLB (2) Dannell Ellerbe, Nate Stupar

RCB (3) Kalan Reed (trade Keenan Lewis), P.J. Williams, Brian Dixon

SS (3) Kenny Vaccaro, Erik Harris, Jamarca Sanford, Vinnie Sunseri

FS (2) Jairus Byrd, Damian Swann (Moved)

LCB (2) Delvin Breaux, Kyle Wilson, P.J. Williams

We'd have some serious depth at key positions and have capability to make some trades for areas of need after determining our best fits...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Nice. There is a chance 3 QBs are gone before we pick. More defensive talent for us.

Geezus!!! Why do we want a redshirt ****ing player!!!

We don't need to waste a pick, and a year, on Jaylon Smith; there're OLBers who'd be just as effective and could start playing right away...

Yeah, but if someone reaches for Lynch... They are screwed. Fragile RG3 in that division (PIT, BAL and CIN). Doesn't look too promising.

Man the Chargers have it made right now. They don't need a QB and they have their choice of any blue chip prospect they want.
