We have a young defense....one reason why they are so bad. Getting rid of Cam Jordon, who isnt exactly old, would be the worst defensive mistake we could make.

Not to mention the 18 million in dead money, and we lose a top 5 DE in the NFL.

Why do people want to get rid of our best players?

I'm no NFL GM but I'd prefer to keep the good ones and upgrade the bad ones.

Not to mention that he's probably the only player on our defense that can switch from 3-4 to 4-3 and not have any downgrade in performance.

Cam needs to stay.

I don't want to trade Cam either, but I don't think there's such a thing as dead money when you trade a guy, is there? I don't think that would be a factor, in this scenario.

I'd be willing to trade just about anyone if it brought back multiple proven players. But that doesn't happen in football trades. So trading is just something teams do when they are desperate to get rid of a guy, be it for cap reasons or poor performance, and get just some kind of return. We surely have a cap problem, but Cam is the only good defensive lineman we have, so I don't know why they would get rid of him.

Dude...understand your point from the inexperience side, but our defense has sucked for far too many seasons under the Loomis/Payton tenure with the exception of one~two seasons for that argument to hold...

Would rather have young guys that make mistakes but have the athleticism to make plays to offset those mistakes than old, slow death by a thousand cuts as we've been...
