Re: Sean Stays

In other news the sun sets in the West and the sky is blue. I really want to know what did this organization do to stir up all this vile in the media?

Re: Sean Stays

Or did the media try to set an event in motion and fail miserably???

Re: Sean Stays

Did he go somewhere?

Re: Sean Stays

OK, so when Ian Rappaport and Adam Schefter and Jeff Duncan and so many more have been busted telling FIBS for weeks/months, how are they accountable for their lack of journalism again?

Re: Sean Stays

Sweet! So glad I don't have to eat crow for telling my friends that he was going no where.

Now that the saga has concluded, let's go scout some players that are worth a @#$%.

Re: Sean Stays

So we're any of the reports that Payton talked to other clubs true and were we Payton's fall back option?

Re: Sean Stays

I wasn't able to watch the last two games of the season so I don't know if we really progressed. But finishing on a strong note at 7-9 does give me a little more faith in Sean. I still worry about the quality of some of the assistant coaches, and Sean still calling plays over Carmichael, but I guess we'll have to see how things play out.

Re: Sean Stays

ESPN was pissing me off trying to act like he wasn't sincere in that presser, but they are just trying to cover themselves because they were wrong as hell.

I am very glad we are keeping Coach. He may not be perfect, but he's ours damn it.

ChrisXVI 01-06-2016 03:39 PM

Re: Sean Stays

I was pretty sure he'd leave and I honestly thought that might be for the best... But hearing Payton speak so honestly and sincerely has renewed my faith. Payton is the man!

Best non-story of the offseason.

Re: Sean Stays

Yeesssssssss! - I'm glad he's staying!

Give him the right tools for the job and we will, at least, have a wining season next year.

Hopefully we will make the playoffs also! ;-)

Go on Sean show the doubters how a team SHOULD be coached!

GEAUX SAINTS!!

People seem to forget that this is entertainment not real news. The same as E!, TMZ, buzzfeed etc. the NFL is no different than reality shows like Kim Kardashian and the like. It's entertainment and not real. These reporters aren't held accountable for their reporting like a real news media outlet. They are there for the sole reason of perpetuating the drama and soap opera that is the NFL.
This is not the same NFL We all grew up with.

Re: Sean Stays

Now lets move on to other things... clean up the DC position and assistants.

RaginCajun83 01-06-2016 04:25 PM

Re: Sean Stays

Same goes for the play on the field, it's damn near impossible to play defense in today's NFL

He seems fired up again. Let's get us another Super Bowl trophy yall!! WHODAT!!!

Now the "What really happened?" stories will start. How could the "media" get it so wrong!! LOL

I don't know about you guys but I feel reinvigorated! I think this might have been the wake up call that Payton needed.

Re: Sean Stays

Anyone who even entertained the thought that Payton, or for that fact Brees, were/are leaving have no concept of the dynamics involved. It makes no sense at all for either to leave or to be jettisoned. None whatsoever. It in no way helps the franchise or either individual. This was all media hype. Speculation. Click generation. Television ratings. Self-gratification. Total unadulterated bullcrap, in other words.

I have been trying to pound this fact into the heads of the doubters (media shills) here for the past year to little avail. As I have stated before, I used to be "media" and was very turned off by its direction 30 years ago. It has gotten progressively worse as time has passed. I still have many acquaintances working in the realm and their take is mixed depending upon how tainted they have become.

Do NOT believe what you hear, read or see. Go by your own sense and you will most likely be closer to the truth, but that truth will never be known until the speculation becomes fact.

After being assured whole-heartedly by the media that Sean Payton and Chuck Pagano would both be gone I'm done with the NFL media.

I thought he was staying but Jerry flying in at the end...felt like I was watching a sports drama movie or something. WTH was that all about?

Payton called in a favor from JJ to push his salary a little more by scaring Loomis ;-)

I felt like we just won our 1st playoff when I heard he was staying....I was preparing my paper bag for getting rid of Loomis,,,I guess I'll put that on hold for now

Re: Sean Stays

We need to address 2 or 3 holes on offense and 3 or 4 holes on defense...

Thats not too freaking difficult to do.

We would then be as talented as any team in the entire league.
