Lots of interesting cuts JP. No Coleman, Richardson, Ellerbe or Gwacham?

Dillon Lee may not be the fastest guy out there but he is smart and knows how to play. preseason UDFA defender to make the cut and be a huge fan favorite on special teams by season end.

Mauti and Lee could be a huge pairing for special teams. sealing up the middle of the field.

Still looking for the gunners

De’Vante Harris?

good write up JP

Coleman is a tough one, but he's got issues with the handles on the ball and in our West Coast possession game, we can't afford stonehands...

The back half of the receiving corps I expect to be in flux through the first half of the season; expect a veteran to be added (e.g. Aaron Dobson, Jake Kumerow) OR...

The Saints may add a young prospect or two that may get pushed out on their teams and would do better to develop in Payton's system (Moritz Böhringer and/or Max McCaffrey)...

Richardson I think gets pushed out in a numbers game between Onyemata and the late FA addition C.J. Wilson who comes from a rotation system that reflects the moves in free agency...

Ellerbe is another numbers cut, plus allocating a roster spot to a guy that hasn't played a full season in, what? four years? Sad, because he's a great talent...

Edebali v. Tull v. Gwachum...upside? Tull hands down, so it becomes an experience vs current ability between Edebali and Gwachum...

Brian Dixon and Erik Harris will be your gunners, and they'll be some good ones at that...

Dixon needs a break out season. his tackling does not thrill me one bit. Nor does his on the field awareness.

Erik Harris out on the wing? I can see him in between say De’Vante Harris and Mauti.

love all the new blood

Don't know Hagan, Dixon has made some quality plays at the gunner position...

He's been a real find for us in the UDFA Gem mine...

Harris was brought in specifically for that gunner position, sort of what they envisioned for Marcus Ball...

I thought I read somewhere that Daniel Lasco was going to be playing that role... I can't remember if that was just media speculation or something coach said.

I'll try finding that tell as well...

Watching Lasco's film while at Cal, his skill set, puts him as a Roger Craig style of running back...

How this guy was still around in round 7 is beyond me...

I see a lot of Arian Foster in him. IMO it is gonna take at least two injuries to see Lasco in the "main/back up role".

If he doesn't pan out, no worries ... 7th round pick ;).
